Level 1 Dynamic Anatomy Course

My suggestions on how to approach the course…
If possible, set aside a block of time (approximately 1 hour for each module) to watch the videos.
During this time have a yoga mat close by so you can try some of the postures I suggest.
Even though the videos are mostly short, they are designed to be watched within one session as each consecutive video builds on the last one. In the first one or two videos the concepts may not be clear but usually by the last one, the topic will have been covered from different angles so it should make a lot more sense (I hope!).
At the start of the course, you will notice that there are 4 modules open immediately. That’s just to get you started with a few foundational principles. After that there will be one or two module released each month.
Don’t feel that you have to understand or memorise everything in the videos.
Supposedly, in face to face courses, people generally retain about 30–50% of the information (then study fills in the rest). If you were doing a course face to face with a teacher and a group of students, you would have times when you would slightly ‘zone out’ to give your brain a rest and then you would re-focus your attention. It is a natural process. I find for some reason when people (myself included) watch videos they tend to feel a need to learn 100% of the information, which can be mentally exhausting. If you are one of those people, just be aware of it and don’t push yourself too much.
Read the support material after you have watched the videos.
The reason I suggest this is because I prefer you watch the videos with a ‘clean slate’ in your mind. The reading material will then help you refine and integrate the information further. There may be few exceptions to this but I will let you know by asking you to print/download the pdf before watching the videos.
Colour the Anatomy Colouring sheets anytime after you have watched the videos.
These are meant to be a relaxing way to learn. Just enjoy the colouring process and then once you have finished a page you will have a better understanding.
If you have having trouble answering the quiz questions please contact me.
I can look up your results and explain where you went wrong and help make things clearer.
I have designed the course in a way that builds layers of information and approaches the concepts using different methods; lectures, showing on the skeleton, posture demonstrations, animations, worksheets, colouring, your own practice and questions. We all learn in different ways so I have tried to be varied in my approach.
I also purposefully repeat concepts in the course so you will have plenty of time to integrate the most important ones (I apologise if I do it too much!)
Having said all of this, of course, approach the course in any way that suits you!
I am here to help, so please let me know if there is anything you need to improve your learning experience.
